LTM: Tell us about what you do for a living and how you got into it.

I am the owner of Global Security, a veteran-owned private security company. Additionally, I serve as a Sergeant First Class (SFC) in the U.S. Army National Guard Infantry with 17 years of service. I joined the Army at the age of 17, and through my military experience, I developed the skills and discipline that led me into the private security sector in 2013. I worked my way up the corporate ladder and eventually acquired ownership of the company in 2022.

LTM: In your industry, what would you say separates you from your competition?

What separates Global Security from our competition is not only our military background and the fact that we are a veteran-owned company, but also the expertise of our management team, which comprises seasoned military and law enforcement personnel. We utilize advanced technology and artificial intelligence to provide our customers with the most up-to-date information, ensuring they always feel informed and secure about their properties and assets. Additionally, we go the extra mile by offering specialized training to our staff, keeping them updated on laws, regulations, and physical fitness, enabling them to perform their duties at the highest level of professionalism.

LTM: Why do you feel you were nominated?

I believe I was nominated because of my dedication to service, both during my military career and as a business owner. As a veteran entrepreneur, I have built a successful security company that not only provides high-quality protection but also creates job opportunities for fellow veterans, helping them transition into civilian life. My personal story of overcoming hardship—from being broke and homeless to owning a multi-million-dollar company—demonstrates my resilience and character, which resonate with the values of this recognition.

LTM: During COVID-19, tell us about your biggest challenge/obstacle and how you overcame it.

During COVID-19, one of my biggest challenges was ensuring that Global Security could continue operations while prioritizing the safety of our employees and clients. Staffing was especially difficult during this time, as the security industry faced an increased demand, particularly from essential businesses and events. I adapted by implementing strict health protocols, remote monitoring solutions, and additional training programs to keep my team safe while maintaining our high standards of service. Through resilience, adaptability, and teamwork, we successfully navigated the pandemic and continued to grow.

LTM: Tell us about your biggest achievement in business or personal life, and how you achieved it.

One of my biggest achievements was becoming the owner of Global Security. Starting as an entry-level security professional, I worked my way up through hard work, dedication, and continuous learning. The leadership skills I gained during my military service played a significant role in my success. By investing in training, building a strong team, and focusing on client needs, I turned my dream of owning a business into a reality. This journey, from facing adversity to achieving success, is a source of immense pride for me.

LTM: What is next for you? What can people expect to see from you?

I plan to continue expanding Global Security, bringing our services to more locations across Florida and beyond. Additionally, I am committed to mentoring and supporting fellow veterans, helping them successfully transition into civilian careers. People can expect to see me continue growing my business, giving back to the community, and upholding the values of service, leadership, and integrity that have guided me throughout my career.

LTM: Who is your/or was your role model in life and why?

My biggest role model has always been my future self—the man I looked up to and aspired to be. This vision of who I wanted to become has pushed me to work harder, persevere through challenges, and remain focused on my goals. It keeps me grounded and motivated, knowing that every decision I make is shaping the person I strive to be.

Additionally, during my military career, I was fortunate to serve under great leaders who influenced my leadership style. Their mentorship taught me the importance of leading by example, staying resilient, and empowering others, which has been instrumental in both my military and business success.
