Martin Levert: 2024 Latin Times Magazines Lideres Award

Martin Levert is an accomplished leader in education and a dedicated advocate for community service. He is currently serving as the Executive Director of Florida Technical College’s Kissimmee Campus. With a deep passion for empowering others, Martin has led numerous impactful initiatives, solidifying his role as a pillar in the Central Florida community. His work includes organizing an annual back-to-school event that distributes over 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to local children, helping to ease the financial strain on families and ensure students start the school year prepared.

In addition to community outreach, Martin has fostered a culture of giving back among his students. He oversees regular efforts by the college’s barbering and cosmetology programs to provide free haircuts to children and elderly residents in need. His leadership also extends to the college’s culinary department, which offers free meals to those facing food insecurity, especially during challenging economic times. Martin’s dedication has earned him numerous awards, including the 2024 “Who is Who” Excellence in Technical Education Award, the 2023 Líderes “Amigo” Award, and the 2022 Osceola County Chamber of Commerce Unity Award. His commitment to mentorship is equally impressive, guiding students to success both in and outside the classroom. He also actively supports Hispanic businesses in Central Florida, working with local councils to build a thriving business community.
