Time of Year: Night of Lights Dates: Nov. 28 – Dec. 1, 2022

God is so good. Latin Times Media and Magazine was chosen as a media to travel to st Augustine.....and share with u the beauty of the city and great spots here! We stayed at the Voco IHG Hotel, which was about 10 minutes away from where all action was taking place!

Our First night in St. Augustine: The first evening we started started out with a Trolly Tour of the City, and had the pleasure of learning more about the history of St. Augustine.

That first evening we also enjoyed dinner at the World Famous Columbia Restaurant in downtown St. Augustine, Florida LOVED IT - of course the Columbia Restaurant never disappoints, and we were able to share a little bit about the rich History of the Columbia as well as the Gonzmart family.

We closed off that first night with a Walk around of Nights of Lights on St. George St- there is only one way to describe it -breathtaking!

December 13th, 2022: Day 2 in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida Viaja San Agustín and we visited the historic fort! We visited the beautiful Castillo de San Marcos for a guided walking tour- and coming from a Puerto Rican background, Victor and I really enjoyed the Fort -which was similar to the one in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as in Cuba.

Always an Adventure in St. Augustine, Florida at Adventure Tours!

After the Castillo de San Marcos visit, we ran across the street to continue our journey down History to Historic Adventure Tours and got to experience the firing of a real canon ball as well as we were able to visit and tour the oldest house, and got to see also a very old toilet!

In case you can't tell yet, there is ALOT of walking involved in visiting St. Augustine, but I promise you its worth every step! After the Adventure tour, we headed out and enjoyed our next Food Tour!

We got to try the famous Claude's Chocolate - and it was the most delicious chocolate i have ever had, enjoyed it so much that I went back at the end of our trip to get some additional chocolates - the only disappointing part of Claude's is that i can't order online!

That Evening, we also enjoyed the Nights of Lights Tour with Land and Sea Tours - Noches de Luces en San Agustín - a beautiful evening tour, hosted by a beautiful couple from Puerto Rico - the tour was bilingual and included many exciting stops - the only complaint i have about this tour is that it was just over to fast - St. Augustine is just so beautiful in the evening during this festival of lights.

To close off that second night, the group headed to Nights of Pints - Coinciding with St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights, local breweries host Nights of Pints with a passport for craft beer lovers. Participating breweries included: Old Coast Ales, Ancient City Brewing, Bog Brewery and Dog Rose Brewing Company. You can learn more at www.facebook.com/nightsofpints

Wednesday, November 30, 2022 was our 3rd day there and it was a cold and rainy morning as we headed to the Beach Farmers Market! We also got to enjoy seeing the beach!

Afterward, we enjoyed a beautiful picnic lunch while learning about the history of Anastasia State Park.

We also enjoyed other places such as the St. Augustine Lighthouse!

That evening, the group had Dinner at Michael’s and enjoyed the most beautiful and deliciously unique menu!

Other places we enjoyed!

  1. Nights of lights by water followed by a drive to A1A Beach Boulevard and St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park Light

  2. la Lady of la Leche Shrine and Mission Nombre de Dios, site of Las Posadas

  3. Villa Zorayda – Spanish headphones self-guided

  4. Flagler College Tour

  5. and a delicious dinner at Urban Asado

On the last day in St. Augustine, the group enjoyed visiting the Alligator Farm, and finished out the week long tour with lunch at Casa Maya
